Nothing is impossible in life...

Nothing is impossible in life...

This is Darsait, and I say something to Papa and he says, 'Nothing is impossible.' At the time I don't believe it, I'm may be a teen ager, even younger — but what is this? How can anything be impossible. Or impossible to achieve.

Looking back at my life, that phrase somehow led me. Later in life I saw it advertised by Adidas as 'Impossible is nothing', yet having seen it, always been reminded that Papa had said it in reverse, 'Nothing is impossible in life,' actually, that was the entire phrase. I have never believed it truly, but I have always stood by it. My life is torn between living in the midst of impossibilities, and the fruits of embracing them.

I was reminded of this story today while working on taglines on my website, and then read a little about the Adidas slogan, 'Impossible is nothing.' You'd be surprised, it comes from a legendary Muslim personality, Muhammad Ali, and having read it, I know where Papa got his inspiration, none other than one of his own favourites, Cassius Marcellus Clay, aka Ali, "Impossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they've been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It's an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It's a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing."

Having read that, for the first time today, I feel Papa is still around, nudging me to do this impossible. And I'm only wondering, whether it's possible.
